It may seem strange to start my first pick with the latest book in a long series but stick with me. There’s a reason for my madness. It’s not even a romance novel, you say. True, but there are enough elements of romance to satisfy.

The first book in the Stephanie Plum series, One For The Money is what got me back into reading after an extended break that started in college. Now, many years later, here’s Going Rogue number, twenty-nine in the series, and I was just as excited to read it as I was when number two was released. And yes, I’ve read most of them in a day. My husband even knows when he sees one of Janet Evanovich’s books hit my nightstand, I’ll be unavailable until finished.

If you’re looking to escape and be completely entertained, I highly recommend this read. There’s something special about a book which makes you laugh out loud. Going Rogue accomplished all of that.

For anyone who may have read a book in the series back in the day and had forgotten about Stephanie Plum, or if you’ve never heard of her, you’re in luck. You have twenty-nine books to binge read. How exciting is that?

Full disclosure, this is the only mystery series I’ve ever been able to invest my time and money into. It’s the laughter and two eligible bachelors Stephanie Plum can never seem to decide between that brings me back each time.
